![]() Remember Lucia, Jowy’s assassin? That’s her territory, and one of the primary protagonists is her son. It takes place in the area surrounding the Grasslands. I want to see what happens after Suikoden 2: Suikoden 3, released for the PS2, is set 15 years following the events of 2. It’s not as complex a game, but it still has political intrigue and compelling characters as you navigate your role in a war and come into conflict with your own father. It’s also available on PSN for PS3, PSP, and PS Vita. I want more Suikoden and that classic RPG feel: If you haven’t, play Suikoden 1 for the PS1. I’m not sure I would have done it on my own, so I appreciate the community.Įnjoyed Suikoden 2, and want to experience more of that world? Here are some places to go from here: I had a lot of fun revisiting the game, and having a chance to talk about it with others playing it again, or playing it for the first time. And as before, I’ll post some questions to kickstart conversation. Of course, conversation about any and all parts of the game are fair game, so feel free to talk about whatever from the game you’d like to comment on. I think realistically he should be about as strong as Viktor or Humpfrey, perhaps with his pure rage and evil tactics giving him the slight edge.Welcome to the final installment of The Avocado Plays Suikoden 2! Here, we will talk about the final piece of the game - from the death of Luca Blight to the ending. Yuber - He comes the closest to being as strong as Luca, but he still isnt physically as strong as Luca, even with the Eightfold Rune Persmerga - Strongest character you can recruit, Probably not even human, thats justification enough Georg Prime - Participated in at least 3 great wars has 20 years battle experience, and in a one on one match Luca would wipe the floor with him. But look at people who have great justifications for their strength. Still i can understand him honing his skill and being above average in strength. He witnessed his mother being gang raped by bandits sent by the mayor of muse. During Jowy's knightship ceremony, Luca mentions something about a horrible even that happened or he witnessed about his mother, that alone is enough to give him the strength to wreak havoc. With all that being said, something like the Beast Rune I would think would have him ravaging at everything. Then also, Leon Silverberg, I'm not sure if it was that Leon wasn't afraid of giving orders toward Luca or was that his natural way of dealing with Luca as a strategist. Jowy, undoubtfuly because of the Black Sword Rune always had Luca's ear. He respected both Sasari and Yuber, aknowledging them as worthy generals. I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed it but Luca does show some threads of sanity at some points of the game. I don't think the Beast Rune actually gave him the strength but more or less helped him channel and trigger it when he goes into battle. Pampered and all, his swordsmanship was almost unmatched. During Jowy's knightship ceremony, Luca mentions something about a horrible even that happened or he witnessed about his mother, that alone is enough to give him the strength to wreak havoc.īelcoot4 wrote:I like to think of him kind of like the prince (if I remember right, antagonist) from Gladiator.
